first podcast

So I did my first podcast and it was a new experience. I did enjoy it and once I had my finished product, I was satisfied to know I could create something like this. For my podcast, I am doing a series on Baptist churches, particularly their University Ministries for Lubbock college students. In each podcast, I will go in depth about one of six, large, University Ministries here in Lubbock. I will interview the university minister and probably a few regular attendees. Also, with my video podcasts, I will capture the worship experience and style. I decided on this topic because I know for me, I wish there was something like this for me to inform me of the baptist churches and what they have going on. In doing this podcast, I did get to experience the editing part of producing a podcast. I had several "um's" which I had to edit out for smoothness. Each one of those took a while. I also experienced a clicking sound for the first 20 seconds. I might experience some challenges in recording my interviewees when conducting these interviews. I probably wont be able to get down to the podcast suite, so I plan to record the interview in the "field" on my MacBook. Overall, this was a pretty cool experience, I even went on to make a few other podcasts!

This was very easy to listen to and vocals were personable and enjoyable. A few ums but not that bad. A friend of mine runs and produces video for FBC here in town and maybe he'd be able to get you some video of 9:30 or Paradigm. Ill let you know.

loved the intro and outro music for some reason. I think it was fitting for your topic. I liked that you were detailed in what church each podcast episode would feature. I think if you remember to mention whether or not the churches are ones that have specific student programs then your audience will find the podcast even more helpful and useful. All in all, well done.

For some strange reason I couldn't get your podcast to work on my computer. I didn't have this problem with anyone eles's so maybe there is just a glitch in the system somewhere. Sorry!!

Good job man. Your voice and tone sound enthused about this project and that is a good thing. You have a few ums but in a weird way, it helps give the podcast a personal feel to it. I look forward to your podcast and if you need any help let me know.

There was one or two “uhms” and a clicking noise in the background, it might have been a pen, but that would be the only negatives I could hear. This pod cast had the most conversational sound out of the class, it was refreshing to hear. To add to the series you might want to include who would go to these specific ministries, I’m sure beyond location, they have a niche to serve.

I really enjoyed how relaxed your voice sounded, like you were having a real conversation and not so much reading from a script. You have a lot of places to gather some great information and students are always looking for new worship or youth groups to get involved with. Nice podcast and blog.

Like others said, you were very conversational sounding. Smooth and confident voice. Like that you have the bed music, makes it more comfortable. Very informative with good details. Blog if also informative. Good combo.

Very nicely done, amigo. You've got some good ideas and some ripe topics. My only suggestion for improvement is in your vocal delivery, where it would help you to avoid the "Uhs" - I'm sure you've already heard that though. Best of luck!
